This Privacy Policy explains how Nevika Innovations Private Limited ("Nevika", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal data when you use the Calori mobile and web application ("Calori", the "Service"). By using Calori you agree to this Policy.
1. Data we collect
- Profile data you provide during onboarding — name, dietary preferences, goal, calorie target, units and preferred language.
- Nutrition activity — meal photos or text you submit, barcodes scanned, voice notes, hydration logs and diary entries.
- Device data — approximate region, browser/OS, and diagnostic events required to run the Service.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
2. How we use it
- To estimate calories, macros and generate personalised meal plans.
- To let you chat with the coach in Indian languages via Sarvam AI.
- To improve accuracy, safety and performance of the Service.
3. AI processing & subprocessors
Meal recognition and coaching are powered by third-party AI providers we route through, including OpenRouter (LLM inference), Sarvam AI (Indian-language speech and chat) and food databases such as OpenFoodFacts. Your prompts, images and voice snippets are sent to these providers strictly to fulfil your request and are not used by us for advertising.
4. Storage
Your diary, weekly plans and profile are stored on your device via browser storage for offline use. When you enable account sync (where offered) data is stored on secure managed cloud infrastructure with row-level access controls scoped to your account.
5. Your rights
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to info@nevika.co. We respond within 30 days as required under applicable Indian data-protection law (including the DPDP Act, 2023).
